Osteitis pubis

We're about 75% of the way to a diagnosis, and this looks to be it. At this point, minimum four weeks off with a course of anti-inflammatories, but I can swim or cycle (provided I don't get up out of the saddle). Will probably get an MRI next week to confirm.

Well at least getting a diagnosis means that you know how to deal with it. And on the bright side, you can pretend you are an AFL footballer.

That's sound a little promising. Hope the MRI results are kind.

Take care!!! You should come and help out for the half and get a dose of the running social stuff... all good :-)

I hope you recover quickly!!!

Considering some of the possibilities you were looking at last post, this is actually pretty good news isn't it? Not that I know anything about osteitis pubis. But "4 weeks min" sounds a hell of a lot better than an Ebay ad for "One slightly used pair of running shoes". Good luck with the rest of the dignosis and treatment.

At least you are moving towards a diagnosis (for me, not knowing is the hardest part). I hope the MRI gives you some greater certainty

Good luck. I know one runner who had that (OP) - it did hang around for 3 months or so but he's back running well now.

Good to hear you moving away from that worst case scenario dude. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Geez mate, not good news. Hopefully the injury is only short term and your back into it soon.
Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the OP Mate. Get well soon.

I'd be interested to hear if you've managed to pinpoint what factor or factors caused the ailment.

cheers
Puntermatt
