The power of adaptation
Well, things are on the improve. Only one grab at the snooze button this morning....
Usually Thursday morning routine, meet Mister G at Rotary Park for 8 x 400 metre intervals. Today's guest runner was djl - welcome aboard. Hopefully we'll see him regularly.
Legs felt pretty good after the massage yesterday, and after getting through a leisurely 3 lap warm up got through eight 400 metre reps as follows:
77.86, 79.81, 78.37, 81.30, 81.44, 80.84, 80.47, 77.56.
Got into a bit of a hole from the fourth rep, but put in a big one to finish. Power was down a bit, so the focus was on technique. Didn't feel too bad, actually.
The reps were followed by a gentle three lap barefooted cool down.
Pretty happy with the session. Recovery is certainly proceeding a lot better than four weeks ago.
