Tuesday's short blasts
A cool, clearish morning at Rotary Park for our first really serious sample of SW's shorter intervals.
Session went:
4.5km warm up in 20:36, stretch, 4 x 100m strides, and then:
800m | 2m | 54s |
800m | 2m | 56s |
400m | 1m | 28s |
400m | 1m | 26s |
400m | 1m | 26s |
400m | 1m | 26s |
400m | 1m | 27s |
400m | 1m | 24s |
400m | 1m | 25s |
400m | 1m | 26s |
Took a minute break between the 800s (should have been 90 seconds) and 50s between the 400s. Stride changed from high turnover short stride to longer strider on the sixth 400 rep. Felt I belted out the last three reps and leg fatigue was setting in, and was really gasping for breath after the last two.
Really good, hard, fast session and I really felt like I was putting in place some building blocks. I mean, if it's tough, it's got to be good for me, right? Right?
